The Managers of the Chalk Hotel and Property Group faced the brunt of the Aussie skills shortage when their Financial Controller left to travel overseas. Her departure left a gaping hole in their team, and the bill for a new staff member was much higher than they expected. So they sought another way through, and found Business-Accounting and Financial Management specialists, Consolid8. Consolidate enabled them to outsource almost all of their financial administration, automating a range of processes and delivering comprehensive reports on the 15th day of every month.
Now we can monitor our business as it grows, and manage it appropriately rather than playing catch up for months at a time.
Human Resources
The next opportunity to work with integr8 came along when our HR manager left to pursue business interests outside HR. This was a more difficult decision for us, as HR management can be a rather involved process in our business, and is much more than just recruitment.
Watts Next, integr8's specialist HR service provider stepped up to the challenge, with competitive pricing, and have provided the holistic approach we were looking for. Over the past 18 months they have managed and analysed our management team, enabling us to understand ourselves better, and deliver our leadership in appropriate and efficient ways; reviewed our employment contracts and staff manuals, bringing them up to date with the latest legislation. They have also, more recently been working with us to intorduce a hotel-wide bonus scheme, staff review and career development frameworks.
IT
The Chalk systems are critical as we operate 22 hours every day, 7 days each week. Cinch IT monitor and control our IT systems almost remotely, and as we look to change our IT network and software, they are able to work with our Financial services providers, Consolid8 and our HR team, Watts Next and ensure our systems co-operate.
Legal Matters
Chalk has also recently started using the services of the Legal Matters team for our property and general legal requirements. They work together with our other services providers to ensure that we are getting integrated advice.
